I did a little patch (attached as diff file to be applied to
/etc/init.d/tomcat5.5).
Basically, it seems the command that has to clean up the temp directory didn't
take into consideration the presence of subdirectories. I added the -r option
to the rm command :-)
Could it be possible to have

The binary version of OOo (from their web site) didn't worked for me: I
mean, I was not able to install it. I used the debian package
downloadable from the main OOo site: it ends up with unresolved
dependencies, both to other packages and to single binary files that I'm
not able to

Michael, what do you mean with upstream's OOo build? I'm not able to
download OOo sources and compile them, if you mean that. As I said, I

It happens to me too.
My system is Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10 amd64, fresh installation.
I installed azureus using add/remove programs: java was not previously
installed so apt didn't install the Sun JVM but the gnu's one - I think; anyway
here there are the packages (besides azureus itself):
