it has turned out that the problem persists even with the older versions of linux-firmware (1.157.11 and 1.157.10) - i tried with them today what i did was: sudo dpkg -i linux-firmware_1.157.11_all.deb sudo reboot and nothing changed then: sudo apt-get remove linux-firmware sudo apt-get

why is there not any response to this bug report?! the latest updates were released just now, including linux-firmware 1.157.13, and the problem is still there even after i installed them on my computer - there is still no effect when adjusting sound volume slider from the sound menu on the menu
