There is at least a wishlist bug hiding in there, in so far as ldm
should give a meaningful error message if there are host key problems,
instead of hanging indefinitely and lying to the user about what it
does.

If you regenerate the broken host key on the server, ltsp will hang without so
much as a log message in the verifying password stage.
You have to do a
sudo /usr/sbin/ltsp-update-sshkeys
sudo /usr/sbin/ltsp-update-image
so people can log in again.

the cdrom drive that is secondary master, talking about
ata2.00: failed to set xfermode (err_mask=0x1)

If emacs-extra is installed, emacs writes a horribly convoluted (custom-
set-faces ...) value to .emacs whenever any face options are changed.
(And on installation emacs-extra produces the nice info-message
| you must run apt-get install 10 emacs-extra/select-modes doesn't exist to

process hangs at the very beginning.

For what it's worth, 2.6.20-15-386 shows exactly the same behaviour,
it hangs as soon as the ubuntu-splash screen is displayed. I have not
been able to convince it to display any boot messages.
