Public bug reported:
Hi,
On ASUS K451 laptop, middle click or 3 finger-tap does not work
natively.
There is no middle button on touchpad, so I am trying to emulate the
middle click.
I followed these instructions from
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Quirks#A2-button_Mice , but it did not work:
1.
I don't recall exactly, it was a basic action, I was browsing my file with
konqueror after having done some work with KDEnlive.
In the meantime, I stop using 8.10 to stay with 8.04, so I did not put me in a
situation to recreate similar behavior.
Sorry for this limited description, this bug

Hello (K)ubuntu dev team
I have alpha-tested Kubuntu 8.04 alpha 5 as live CD.
Boot happened smoothly.

Bugs,
For those concerned, note that a way to by pass this problem is to use the
alternate version of the install CD (instead of the desktop).
Installation happens in text mode, but it allows you to install on hde or hdg
hardrives.
Thus, the bug seems to be in the qparted software.

[kubuntu
Same problem is STILL present an confirmed on the official release 6-10.
Live CD works fine, but installation impossible elsewhere than on
/dev/hda.
(for information: PCI EIDE Controller has Silicon Graphics Sil680 chip)

Hello
I was trying to install Kubuntu 6.10 beta from live CD.
Installation failed at step 5 (as far as I remember) because I could not make
manually hard drive partition. (Bug may be linked with qtparted package).
I have 3 harddrives which seem to correctely recognized

Thank you for the precision.
I tried Beta version, and the harddrives seem actually to be correctly
recognized.
However I was not able to make the installation elsewhere than on /dev/hda
(see bug #64591).
It sounds like a qtparted bug to me.
