I installed Lubuntu 10.04 LTS on my U100 with flashed BIOS (flashed with DOS)
and what can i say!?
It just works fine! No flickering and now i am able to set brightness in all
levels!

Using the 2.6.31-18 Kernel installed from the backports (you have to enable it)
fixed the webcam problem.
(delete the entry in blacklist!)

Oh I just checked the MSI Website and realized that there is a new BIOS-Update
released at 2010-01-04.

After I installed it the flickering problem seems to be fixed! *happy*

I am talking about Kubuntu (KDE 4.3) I can't deinstall or fix
gnome-power-manager.
Here is nearly the same problem (flickering when change brightness by key)
The patch is only working for GNOME, isn't it?

Can anybody tell me how to fix it in Kubuntu Karmic?
I don't have the flickering after login but when I chnge the brightness with
the keys the flickering begins and doesnt stop...
Any Idea out there?

With Kernel 2.6.28-16 everything works fine in Karmic Koala on msi WInd.
But i have to use ndiswrapper to make WLAN running. (rt2860sta)
Maybe it is a kernel bug?
