I didn't enable the apparmor profile either, and I haven't done a clean
install in ages.
BTW I just read https://help.ubuntu.com/lts/serverguide/apparmor.html
and learned that you need to do
sudo ln -s /etc/apparmor.d/usr.bin.firefox /etc/apparmor.d/disable/
to keep the firefox profile

Same with Nvidia GT750M (on Macbook Pro). The freeze happened while
trying to use Browser.
When I returned to Unity 7:
- desktop scaling was screwed. Icons and window contents were too big compared
to menu and title bars

Same here, using a Macbook Pro 11,3 with NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M.
Changing the resolution and clicking Apply blackens the screen and
freezes up the machine. A hard reboot is necessary.

A partial workaround: use right-click and Move To... a random folder.
Then move it back to the desktop. At least the links then will line up
neatly to the left.

- I'm not sure about step 1 (maximize Firefox). I can't remember exactly, and
right now I'm completely unable to get a sanely sized Firefox.
- This is really ugly.

Update after some more testing:
- As described in the original bug description the probleem occurs when Firefox
has had an unmaximized size that is bigger than the small monitor resolution.
- Work-around for Firefox: use the resize option of the Web Developer extension
to resize the window to
Please note: there were some keyboard changes between 2,1 and 3,1 (or
3,1 and 4,1? I'm not sure). As Stooj mentions 2,1 has an Enter key left
of the arrow keys. On the 4,1 model this is an Alt key.

One more here. Macbook Pro 4.1 (Intl) on Intrepid. No xorg.conf
customizations. When switching keyboard model nothing shows up in
Xorg.0.log.
My keyboard seems to fully function, except for the arrow down key.

Using xingheader instead of xingmux (see comment #17) fixed the problem
for me. It seemed to worked for a while, so I stopped paying attention.
Recently I dug into it again and noticed that the problem reappeared, at
least since January 9th 2007.

I'm not sure if my problem is exactly the same, but it's pretty close.
Written data DVD's aren't detected at all by my DVD writer.
1. Empty DVD's are recognized as such, and I can write to them with CD/DVD
Creator.
2. Once written, if I re-enter the DVD it's not detected at all. It's not
Ubuntu 6.10 (Edgy/Gnome)
About Audacity gives me unreadable garbage, a lot of dotted rectangles
instead of characters (that would be another bug I guess).

In the Save as dialogue box I clicked the create new directory button.

Except for firestarter 6.10 is working fine for me.

The menu under AltF12 is bound to the Power Manager 2.16.1 icon in the panel.
Even if I add Tomboy to the panel manually (it is visible under Add to Panel)
the tomboy menu under AltF12 sticks to the Power Manager icon.

I had Tomboy installed and in the SessionsStartup Programs.
Upgraded from Dapper to Edgy RC1.
Now Tomboy is gone from the menus and the panel.
I can see it is installed. It is not visible under Preferences Menu

When ripping cd's Sound Juicer tries to correctly read the tracks. If it
doesn't immediately succeed (because of scratches on the cd) it wil keep
on trying at slower cd speeds. Eventually it will produce a result.
Sound Juicer will not tell
Same problem.

My results:
- the bitrate is shown correctly in Nautilus, Totem and Rhythmbox
- the track time is shown correctly in Rhythmbox
