I downloaded and installed the 8.10 Release Candidate and could not
reproduce this bug.
I also booted off a 8.10 Live CD (25-Oct-2008 08:26) and could not
reproduce this bug.

I just installed the latest ATI driver (ati-driver-
installer-8-5-x86.x86_64.run) from http://ati.amd.com (Support Drivers
Download graphics drivers Linux x86 FireGL Mobility FireGL V5000)
and I can not reproduce this bug.
