X64 LiveCD detected my Sundance IC PLUS 1000 network hardware (listed in
lspci) but does not automatically load the ipg module. I had to manually
load (modprobe ipg) to get it to work. Dapper and Edgy detects and loads
automatically. I have an additional Linksys (tulip)

When I insert the bluetooth USB after boot, the dmesg is:
usb 5-4.4: new full speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 5
usb 5-4.4: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
pegasus: v0.6.13 (2005/11/13), Pegasus/Pegasus II USB Ethernet driver
But the device does not work. It does not show in
Problem has been tracked down to using a Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter.
If this device in connected, the system will not boot. It hangs in the
network stage of the boot. Removing the device and the system boots
fine. The system does not boot with Edgy either.

I attempted to load both amd64 and i386 Herd2 desktop Live CD. Neither
would load on my AMD64 (ABIT AX8 mobo) system. I tried a variety of boot
options including noauto nousb nonet noapic nolapic pci=noacpi nomce .
The progress meter on both
I loaded the Edgy AMD64 LiveCD and it worked perfectly. no issues at
all.
I am including the successful dmesg as a reference.

Per another comment, I tried pci=nommconf and it worked fine. This is
with the AMD64 Dapper 6.06 Live CD.
