Same problem on a Dell Mini 10v with UNE 10.10, 8GB SSD and
ext4-filesystem. Is that a typical netbook problem?

Empathy sets my ICQ-UIN as my ICQ-Nickname, it is possible to change the
number to a nick, but this is not saved. The number even appears in the
Chat-Window instead of my name. With Jabber-Protocol the behavior is as
normal.

Hi,
I solved the problem by adding acpi=force to my kernel boot parameters.
Everything is fine now!

i've just installed kubuntu feisty fawn (i386) on my laptop today. But
now no acpi-support is working. It seems to me, there is no acpi in the
ubuntu-kernel (i can't imagine). The directory /proc/acpi does not
exist, battery-state and cpu-throtteling do not work. The
