Hi, as of Artful Aardvark a new package named kdevelop-python provides Python 3 support: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdevelop-python. I doubt that there still is a Python 2 package (kdev-python is now a dummy package requiring kdevelop-python), but it is safe to close this wishlist
