Alt+f2 could start a run program, and i liked what kde4 did.
if alt+f2 starts the unity dash screen, and that search (that one that
is there) works like a run command... That would be very good.

I think it's much better to have a button when the dash screen comes
(like my mockup) than to have to search for something, specially using a
tablet pc.
Is launcher the same as dash screen? (Dash screen - The button at the
left corner with ubuntu logo.)

When starting Intrepid with usplash turned on I will produce a very loud
beep with a black screen. When the login screen appears the beep is also
gone.
When starting without usplash the problem is gone and the system loads

Using nvidia geforce 9100m videocard.
Same laptop have Slackware 12.2 (triboot slackware/ubuntu/windows) and with it,

I have now tried the patch from Gerson fserve Barreiros for the last
few days and the system runs instable. I have tried to use either
GFreqlet for the panel or via Konsole powernowd. And for both
on my Acer 5315, ubuntu 64 doest not start fan, so i got very HOT and
shutdown
i'm using 32bits ubuntu and it's ok now.
there is a way to manual control fan?

hi guys, i made the new p4-clockmod with patch. (tested with 32bits.)
just copy my attachment and put at
/lib/modules/2.6.24-17-generic/kernel/arch/x86/kernel/cpu/cpufreq/p4-clockmod.ko
then sudo modprobe p4-clockmod
and look at dmesg

yeah, the bug still happening, but is just on the FIRST run, when your
~/.xchat2/ dont have the xsys2.conf
after the first crash, xchat will run

i will start some tests here, btw, dont try installing that .deb again
on another system...
i installed it on my system and on my mother laptop (both ubuntu 8.04)
and got no errors... but something is wrong i think...
