I can confirm this. I nearly went out of my mind trying to figure out why my unmounted ide disk kept waking up after hdparm -y (Bug #180986) until i finally found this. It appears to poll anywhere between 2 seconds and one minute. -- running hddtemp as a daemon might cause unnecessary disk

Public bug reported: Binary package hint: hdparm Details: I just got a new SATA hard drive and moved all my stuff to it, but I'm keeping my old PATA around for backups, media, etc. However, compared to the new one, it is noisy! I'd like for it to stay asleep/spun down as much as possible, but

This bug still exist in Gutsy (7.10) using package 1.2.5beta-3ubuntu6. However, I built the package from svn checkout (rev 474) and auto- complete works as expected. This gets me query-browser version 1.2.12. 1.2.5 was released last October - maybe it's time for an update? The 1.2.12 build was

I have this same problem. I have a ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 M10 (RV350) and an AMD Athlon64 3000+ cpu. I've tried both the radeon and fglrx drivers and neither seem to work - it's the same scenario as above: when I hit hibernate, the machine seems to shut down fine, starts back up, but when it

I just upgraded to Edgy Beta, and the behavior is still occurring. I *can* connect to my network using iwconfig dhclient, just not via network manager. Any ideas as to whether this is a problem in network manager, wpa suppliant, or the net driver? I'm not sure what I can do to further debug this.
