starting evolution... so for me disabling that feature allowed me to

for some reason the processing with cups' ghostscript interpreter adds
the prolog but doesn't actually emit any pages to the final postscript
file (which does happen when I perform a ps2ps -sPAPERSIZE=a4

calculation is affected by the color value; if I draw lines with a white
component, e.g. by '0.5 setgray' they get considered by the bounding box

I just tried compiz again, and it doesn't freeze anymore, but instead it
does a epilepsy inducing flickering when window cycling hits the
respective fullscreen application (it's not firefox specific, a
fullscreen gnome-terminal has the same effect)

After installing linux-backports-modules-2.6.24-21-powerpc 2.6.24-21.26
in order to use a more recent backported b43 driver, I had to change
options mac80211 ieee80211_regdom=64
to
options cfg80211 ieee80211_regdom=64
which was needed with the non-backported
nevermind, after some source reading I found out that
ieee80211_regdom=64 isn't supported anymore, instead one should use
ieee80211_regdom=EU which does fix my problem... :-)

jfyi, I don't use displayconfig-gtk anymore; and on hardy
System-Preferences-ScreenResolution works more or less thanks to
xrandr...
(except for strange devices that lack modeline information in their DDC
reply, such as the panasonic PT-AX200)

I noticed this issue on my powerbook as well since upgrading to hardy (and I
happen to use the b43 driver);
I strace(1)ed the hald-addon-input process which was running at 100% cpu, and
noticed it was looping in a poll(2) call which returned POLLNVAL for one fd,

yeah... it's been around since edgy, so I guess it can wait a couple of
