I had same problem as yours. and i just changed file manager to Thunar and no
problem.
I believe this is a Nautilus bug. i suggest you better try to use another file
manager before you messed up samba setting.

from my experience i have same problem WHEN:
my SCIM are 2 bite character input mode. then send somewhere comment to
web page, Firefox suddenly crush and doesnt restart again unless SCIM
back to 1 bite character input mode.
