I had tried to upgrade to Gnome 3.0. This failed. So I degraded to gnome 2
again. When the graphical system started it started without panels and access
to programs, system etc. How can I get the panels and access to programs?
I am using Ubuntu 11.04

Sorry, in spite of announcing problem solved the problem still exists. It is

Binary package hint: openoffice.org
when I try to install the update I get the error message, that Open-
Office is still running and so it cannot be installed. But There is
nothing, what I could shut down Open-Office. Visbly it is not running
ans o I cannot shut down
I don't know how, but first I got the error message, that some updates
of OpenOffice cannot be installed because it is still running. Then at
the end the update manager told me, that my system is up to date. Even
when I checked it once more it announced everything ok.
