[gutsy] [regression] suspend-to-ram: resume is blocked on a blinking cursor
until some random keystrokes are entered - removing processor module makes it
work
I have try on hardy alpha2. I have a OvisLink EVO-W54USB v2 usb dongle
(148f:2573).
The driver is in linux-image-2.6.24-2 package (not ubuntu restricted module as
in gutsy).
I need rt73usb to use my hardware. As for gutsy, rt2500usb is loaded but is not
necessary (but that's not a trouble).

I have quite the same trouble :
- Open gparted and choose an external drive.
- Unmount one partition
- gparted will unmount it but it will be mounted automatically (maybe by
gnome-volume-manager)
Consequently, gparted won't succesfully work on this partition (it won't format
it by example).

This bug has been resolved for me using linux 2.6.24 from hardy alpha 2
(available at http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy/metapackages/linux-image-
generic).
Otherwise: workaround from platypuss72 worked with linux 2.6.22 but the
system was slower (and there was a big warning during boot process).
Does anyone have encountred Bug #137477 : resume is blocked on a
blinking cursor (and also yellow linu string) until some random
keystrokes are entered.
I use linux 2.6.22 (gutsy) on a toshiba U200.

I'm in the same case.
In fact NM knows mac adresses of acces points (AP), and nm-applet store it in
/system/networking/wireless/networks/ESSID/bssids (use gconf-editor to browse
it).
But it will also scan for new AP and thus can try to connect to an AP with same
essid if it found it before the
It would be great if nm-applet was able to check if there is one or more
AP, and ask the user witch one it should connect to if there are
several.
If this can't quickly be fixed, it would be great to have a control on
this using gconf-editor (lock the list of bssid, and chose an order or

I have quite the same trouble in gutsy, but this is not systematic. I
can do it systematically if I force an AP (using iwconfig) and use nm-
