When ever i try to play a audio or video file from my hard drive, the
sound cuts out and comes and goes. That happens too when i play anthing
from youtube.
I noticed that while i'm playing a video or audio clip and if i keep
moving the mouse, it works perfectly fine with no problems.

Confirm the above fault as the program not handling raw /dev/sdb
partition. Workaround is similar, but I used gparted to create a new
/dev/sdb1 FAT32 partition.
This is still confusing. Either the program should cope with raw vfat
partitions or ask for a partition as part of the format process.
Confirm bug on a fresh install of Karmic, final relase. Program does
nothing and outputs no log or additional information. How did this pass
testing?

Confirm this is still a problem in Hardy.
As stated, the citrix windows disappear when using compiz, but remain if
metacity is used. This suggests a compiz/X type problem.
This is a painful problem as the citrix client is well used in corporate
desktops and would hamper Ubuntus take up.

I run a ububtu 7.04 fiesty fawn system. It was working fine.
Today i was trying out some upgrades on artwork usplashes etc.
once done i wanted to browse to the directories like /bin or /bin or /usr ,etc
but whenever i click the beside the tab showing my user name , Desk top
shows for a few

I get the same error message on Ubuntu Hardy with latest updates.
$sudo ifup eth0
postconf: fatal: open /etc/postfix/main.cf: No such file or directory
Is this a different bug ??

No, there is no /etc/postfix/main.cf file! In fact, I don't know much
about postfix. I also don't know why this error message appear with
$sudo ifup eth0. Everything seems to be working fine and I see no effect
for this error message.

button would solve the problem. The network-manager already applies any

I can confirm this bug! I have to
$ sudo ifup eth0
EVERY TIME I startup Hardy because the network does not come up
automatically. Also, another workaround is to change the IP address to
something different than my actual IP, then change it back to my actual
IP address so that the network
