Hello,
I'm also having the "cannot load image" error with SecureBoot=enabled after the
installation of Ubuntu 13.10 on Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E330 (with pre-installed
Windows 8).
Windows 8 was booting normally before the installation.
Ubuntu was installed during SecureBoot=enabled from USB key.

I have the same problem:

Dennis,
what version of Java are you using for Netbeans? My issue
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/406324 with Netbeans (6.5) and Thunderbird
(with Lightning extension) was similar and seems to be fixed when using JDK 6
from Ubuntu 9.04 repo. (Before, I was using JDK 5 from Ubuntu 9.04 repo).

I have installed binary Java 6 distribution from java.sun.com.
Right now I'm trying the Ubuntu package for Sun Java 6.

Well, good news. I've upgraded my Java to JDK 1.6 (Java: 1.6.0_15; Java
HotSpot(TM) Client VM 14.1-b02 - non-ubuntu-package). Currently, the
problem does NOT appear! I will test it deeply though.

John,
as I've already said, I couldn't reproduce the problem when Netbeans is
not running. Only if it's running and clipboard contains rich text (XML,
formatted, possibly with colors). And, if I start Thunderbird without
extensions (safe-mode), it does not crash.
I cannot uninstall Netbeans as I

Hmm.
Last time I rebooted, my own "patch" was not working.
I realized that I need to run /etc/init.d/hotkey-setup start AFTER I log into
GNOME. So I added the script to my session.
I don't really understand this :-(

Hardy/Gutsy crashes when the lid is closed on a HP 6710b, HP 6510b and HP 2
Hmm.
After a few days (actually, from the release date of Hardy) I've
searched for this solution. I'm using Thinkpad R60e with Intel
Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics

today.

Hi,
this has just happened to me for the first time. Since Thursday, I used
to suspend my Thinkpad R60e at least once a day. Yesterday I suspended
it too, everything worked, but now after I have switched it on, gnome-
power-manager gave me that error.
Everything seems to be working just as before
