Same problem. OpenSUSE 11.4, 64-bit. libgtk-2_0.0, v. 2.22.1-13.15.1. Eclipse Java EE IDE for Web Developers, Version: Indigo Release, Build id: 20110615-0604.
NOTE: double-click works correctly (transfers focus to Editor window) for .xsd files(!).
