Yes, I did restart after upgrading, but no change. What I also did was install the Mozilla version of Firefox 2.0.0.8, and the problem is now solved. It also didn't happen with the Ubuntu version of Firefox under Feisty, using the exact same set of extensions. So it appears to be unrelated to any
