I just installed Karmic AMD64. Initially my Samsung ML-2240 printer was
detected and installed. After updating Karmic, I wasn't unable to start the
printer. Although it was detected using lsusb, the printer configuration didn'
t find any USB printer.
After reading, and trying, and more reading
the problem was resolved in later versions of Ubuntu. I'm with Intrepid
64 bits and the problem doesn't exist anymore.

The problem exists in Thunderbird version 2.0.0.9 (20080214), I'm using Ubuntu
Hardy Heron alpha 4 amd64 (but it exists in i386) with Firefox 2.0 and 3.0b3.

When I tried to reinstall a program Gdebi crashed. I did a complete uninstall
of such program, Tried to install it again and gdebi crashed.
I opened a terminal, and did sudo gdebi-gtk, selected the same file and then it
installed without a problem.

As reported before, the CapsLock, Numeric and Scroll lights are off when
Ubuntu starts to install in every session.

I've two SATA disks; in sata2 I've Ubuntu Feisty 32 bits, working without
complaint.
In sata1 I've Ubuntu 6.10, with three partitions: root, swap and home. After I
tried installing Feisty 64 bit, and failed I installed the Ubuntu 6.10.
So the disk or the computer has no problem.
