The only actual change - that affects everyday use - is the speaker fix.
The rest of functionality is modules that are built to be closer to Ubuntu's
kernel config. I agree none are critical - DM is only for certain server tests,
and zcache can only be enable

I found that not setting login to automatic when asked in the installer,
and letting it run after the installer window disappears and until it
lands in the lightdm greeter works too.
It works very slowly but in the end it removes those installer related packages
if allowed to.
But it is confusing
It even fails on a panda builder which has 1GB RAM - not sure if the setup uses
all of it though

On the preinstalled Ubuntu ARM images sometimes ubiquity, oem-config
oem-config-gtk and jasper are not removed so they get rerun on every reboot
until manually removed.
Last noticed on the Oneiric mx5 image of Oct 9

It worked for me by removing that extra check in metacity that no other
WM seems to make.

I filed a patch half a year ago upstream, the code uses qreal and double
interchangeably in a lot of places.
It may need adjusting to the newer release.
