I appologize for not reading this entire bug report because I feel
vehement about posting my opinion on the plugin. I realize that some of
my concerns may have been addressed already. I am merely posting them as

linux-firmware-1.11 and linux-image-2.6.28-13-generic. After boot the
wireless network card does not work and the kernel reports:

I've got exactly the same problem as unimatrix. Hanging at 50% when

I have removed the patch for catching the MIPOINTER nullptr errors, and
applied the patch from upstream. After testing, I am not able to

[Jaunty] Regression: X dies when USB core keyboard and pointer
Well...that patch partially helps. I no longer crash when repeating
keys on either of the monitors connected to my first video card.
However, I still crash when repeating keys on both of the monitors
connected to my second video card. (The first video card is the one
that has Screen 0 and Screen
I have to take that back - I tried it a couple times on that second
screen and it worked. Then once I noticed that it was crashing on
screens 3 and 4, I couldn't ever get it to not crash on screen 2. I
have installed jaunty alpha6 from scratch, and am still seeing the crash
on screens 2, 3, and

Hello all - I've experienced this problem also. I forked my sudoers file
(didn't use visudo to edit it) so I had to boot into recovery mode to
edit it. As soon as I ran visudo the system hard locked and had to be
shut down. Upon next bootup /etc/sudoers was a 0B file.

well, you can check and see what your font size for firefox is - that's

the virtualized Windows?

Did you try going into language support and making sure you have French
language support installed? You mentioned you used English for the
install and French for the keyboard. Ubuntu needs to have french
language support for all applications installed to see the accented
french chaaracters. Using
Did you check to make sure you have the latest nvdia drivers installed
from the restricted section? a GeForce 2 card would need to use the
legacy drivers.

Ted, I suggest you try the VLC player and see how that works. It's open
source and it can open pretty much any video or audio file format on the
planet if you have the codecs for 'em. It can play streaming video as
well. I use it for all my vids. And it's available for Ubuntu too I

When switching from list view to icon view visual corruption of
background appears. This did not start out this way, occurred after a
few hours of intermittent use. The background is using a wallpaper. I
tried to find a bug report that was not listed as invalid for this bug.

Change that to an ATI video card, typo. I am using Hardy 8.04. on a
Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop with an Intel Pentium M processor 2.0GHz. I
have 630.1 MiB memory. I am running the Linux Kernal 2.6.24-16-386.

Looks like there's a commented line for icedtea in eclipse's java_home
file currently...

Perhaps someone could uncomment this and change it to
/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk
same problem here with a fresh install of Hardy, openjdk, and eclipse
(from apt, not from tar ball).

The firebug devs have just yesterday 4/20 committed a patch to the 1.2
svn branch that seems to fix this. So, I've put together a new version
of the firebug package based on the 1.2 version that's currently
available in svn. I've also built the package and made it available in
my PPA - version
Seems to be fixed in 8.04 beta.
