error
Hey Chase
I have tested with the Karmic ppa-repos as suggested, and the dongle
works fine with the new firmware (and the firmware-file is of same
size as my previous one, dug from the net), so you can get it released
for Karmic.
I tested also Xubuntu Lucid Beta1 desktop-live and according to
change. As a normal user i can not change my
password, because Authentication failed. and the original password
field is highlighted.
All users (7) can login with their passwords but currently the passwords
cannot be changed.

The information I have given should be enough. The driver is simply
missing from the current installation medias and repos.
I could make the pcmcia-wlan-card to operate perfectly wit Ubuntu 9.10
by loading the driver from the net and adding it to /lib/frmware with
the name requested by the kernel

My Lucid Xorg runs with radeon-driver. I Guess it is an xorg or radeon issue,
not a kernel issue.
My current kernel is 2.6.32-16 and X.Org X Server 1.7.5 and Module radeon,
module version = 6.12.19

8.10 proposed kernel package extraction error
I cleaned the directory /var/cache with apt-get clean, and reloaded the
kernel update package. and it worked fine and repaired unfullfilled
dependencies.
So If there is not anyone else meeting this problem, my opinion is that
it was due an unnoticed temporary file transfer or harddisk error and
above, so i mention
it here.
All upadates up today were installed before I tried to chance the password.
I gave the laptop already to the user, so I cannot give any screenshots.

Hello developers, there are still a markable number of people using
floppies, especially the elder ones. These kind of things should work
out of the box. Get some floppy drives to keep this thing in mind.
