Currently running cinnamon 2.06.2013.26.040 on Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit. After
installing the packages the cinnamon-settings titles are there, but no icons
and no way to access said settings.

Same bug on Asus n60. I have tried with both Alsa and Pulse Audio and
the internal microphone is just not picking up anything. Camera issues
were fixed after moving lv4l1compat.so from its new location back to

Hi Bryce,
Upgrading to Oneiric solved the problem. In two weeks since upgrading I have
not experienced any Xorg restart issues.
You may close the bug, or I'll do it sometime tomorrow.

I have done two things and the bug seems to have gone away (but I have to do
some more testing in the next few days). I updated to a newer Kernel:

Same problem, running 11.04 x64 on ASUS laptop. Extremely annoying and
