As of 5 days ago (6/15/20) and after several recent Mint 19.3 software
updates, GIMP 2.10.20 started crashing. I can open GIMP OK and even open
an image file. But as soon as I use the mouse, even to click on the
opened image, or click a menu item, GIMP crashes and I end up at the
login screen. I’ve also tried earlier versions of GIMP, namely 2.10.18
and 2.10.14 but same problem.
I found the cause to be my Logitech MX Master wireless mouse unifying
USB wireless receiver. GIMP works OK when using the laptop track pad.
