I got the same problem with upgrading from 8.10 to Jaunty 9.04
I first tried Laurent's solution #21, but couldn't find any "Wget" in
/var/lib/dpkg/info/ttf-mscorefonts-installer.postinst!
Adding some adresses, didn't solved my problem but I got some different
errors:

I got the same problem with with the Places Menu a fresh installation (from
Vista to Ubuntu 8.10).
It didn't appear directly.
