Please find the syslog output if cifs debug enabled below. The share was
accessible on Monday 20 at least, I was running focal already, but I've
been upgrading regularly. Not sure which package update broke it (I've
changed the name of the share below manually):

Hm. Nevermind I checked with smbclient and the share was actually
removed from the Windows box... Maybe by one of the Microsoft upgrades.
After sharing it the mounting worked properly. Thanks for the smbclient
hint and sorry for the noise.

To fix this on my machine I removed the xiccd package. It seems is not
really used in my environment since nothing broke without it.

On my system the symlinks /var/lock - /run/lock and /var/run - /run
already exist and I have the same issue. Is the only workaround to
change the sleep parameters in /etc/init/failsafe.conf? I'm using gdm,

My laptop runs hardy. I installed some updates (with the| update
manager) on November 28. One of these updates updated the kernel. With
the new kerne (llinux-image-2.6.24-22-generic) , my card:

I also have this problem. Sometimes happens when switching from playing
a radiostream to play a local stored mp3 or viceversa (is not
reproducible though).
Here the cards I use. In the amarok the Alsa Device Configuration I have
hw:Audio in the 'Stereo' field (i.e. the external USB card is the
rhythmbox doesn't work for me after upgrading to feisty. When I try to
play a song the program segfaults:
$ rhythmbox -d rhythmbox.log 21
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
I've attached rhytmbox.log to this comment.

This is still unfixed in Edgy...
The Debian maintainer already applied a patch to the debian package
which fixes this issue. See:

ECB package does not install properly

webboard blocks after clicking on Publish. Seems it never returns
(waited for several minutes (5) for a fairy small text).
webboard worked before in Dapper so I assume some upgrade
Changing the gconf key /apps/webboard/pastbin to
http://paste.ubuntu-nl.org/
makes Publish work again.
So this isn't related to any upgrade. pastebin.com worked in the past
though.
