Public bug reported:

glusterd will fail to start (in fact it crashes, bugzilla bug 820673) if
the network is managed with network-manager due to the network not being
started during the boot process. This is not something that can be
solved in upstart due to there being no upstart event to key off of.

Is there a way to test for network-manager in upstart and fail with a
notice that network-manager is not supported?
