I see where the problem lies. All the changes I make never take. I even ran sudo displayconfig-gtk with no luck. When I add the displayconfig-gtk to the bottom of xorg.conf and restart x, it fails to load x. I tak ethe last line out and it boots like before with only one screen. Not sure why

Here is an update. I took the latest distribution files down using apt-get dist-upgrade and now I set them and it pops up a box telling me I have to restart for changes to take effect. After a ctrl-alt-bkspace, I loose x again. Replaced xorg.conf with xorg.conf.1 and I am back at one screen

Public bug reported: I loaded Gusty Beta 1 x64 on a hp workstation. Everything loaded great and worked fine. Attempted to use the new Dual Monitor GUI and found it to not work. Wasn't a big deal. Went through my normal process of downloading the nvidia drivers from teh website, compiled them
