This is not a rdesktop bug but a compiz one. KDE has an option for
desktop effects titled Disable desktop effects for fullscreen windows
which fixes all problems from games to choppy video playback to this
one. Unfortunately it's not checked by default and not in CCSM.

I'm experiencing same but I'm also mixing mint 13 repos and running in
Cinnamon with MATE installed as well, so this may be related.

break something but cancel just that selection right away.
When slecting to install, an entry of NOT AUTHENTICATED packages filled with
many empty lines appears and won't allow install bringing
Another me-too, this one drove me nuts. I was getting the low-graphics
menu with a failure to open /dev/fb0 which is odd since I'm using the
radeon driver. Clicking anything in the low-graphics menu would result
in kdm starting properly. I threw a sleep 15 into /etc/X11/Xsession to
no avail

One of my systems has a problem with uspash hanging shutdown so I
modified menu.lst's #defoptions =spash quiet and removed the splash
quiet from all the installed kernels as well. Booting up I noticed
that 2.6.28-15 was now available and installed

DID NOT change the menu.lst at all (-12 to -14 were still there with no
