Brian,
I reinstalled before I saw your email so I didn't capture the log file. But my
install was successful and I think my problem initially was I was trying to
open two Install windows simultaneously. Again, sorry I don't have the files
but thanks for getting back to me.

Yes sorry about that--6.06. I am new to Ubuntu and this is my first
time reporting a buy (it prompted me to do that) so please don't
hesitate to contact me if you need any other info.
Thanks,

I've moved off of Ubuntu, so I can't say. As best I can tell, it was
related to the fact that I had a copy of the Lightning extension installed,
and there was some sort of mismatch registering the xpcom components.
(Lightning provided a duplicate copy of xhr.)

Hi Daniel,
No I didn't. I suspect that I may not have closed openoffice properly before
shutting down or rebooting and I make sure that I do since then and haven't
any any similar problems.
Thanks,

Thank you for reporting this bug. Indeed 1.55 is included from Laurent
in the main source tree directly from OOo. It is possible for us to
update this however, depending on the source tree Matthias is using, it
may push us out of sync with OOo. What concerns me is your font issue.

Hmm Processing this via qdvdauthor seems to work so the error must be
associated with the Kino created xml file. Here is the qdvdauthor xml

Greetings,
This one is a weird one for me. Upgrade from Dapper to Edgy. ALSA
works. Gnome Sound Preferences' Device Test Tab tests work (with

This helped me launch the broken alsamixer but did not fix my lack of

I have also experienced this problem (as Stan has described) but with a
fresh install of Dapper alt install. Everything works according to plan
(and according to the wiki entry) but then I fall into the same pit: It
kept telling me the filesystem didn't exist until I tried mount -t ext3
I am seeing this as well but only when I install 686 and K7 kernels.
