This is actually a problem in the kernel. Or actually in the p4-clockmod
module.
Applying a simple patch solves the scaling issue in p4-clockmod for
Celeron M's.
The patch involves only one line.
Please apply this patch in future kernel updates for Hardy.

According to
http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy/text/freemind
Hardy ships with version 7.1 of Freemind. Hardy should ship with at least
latest stable version 0.8.
But better ship with latest 0.9 beta.
See bug #182927

Great.
Any idea, if we will see this in Hardy?

Public bug reported:
I'm having troubles turning off the wireless adapter.
I have a Thinkpad T42 with ipw2100 wifi.

Yes, there is really an issue with the lid state.
If

But g-p-m NEVER does dpms on when lid state = closed.

Meaning if lid=closed you will never get a running screensaver nor will it ever
dpms. Only if lid=open it will dpms !!!
I get the problem when
