Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: grub2

I have a problem with Natty and grub2. I tried using Start Manager to change
the default OS and it continues to boot the first entry in the list, which is
Natty. I also tried editing /etc/default/grub and changed the
grub default to 10 (the number of the line I want to boot, a Win7 OS). Then
executed sudo update-grub2, to no avail. I also tried using the grub-customizer
( a very nice graphical interface to update grub). You can find it at:
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/43471/how-to-configure-the-linux-grub2-boot-menu-the-easy-way/.
No luck. It continues to boot the first OS on the list if no other entry is
selected, regardless of what is in /etc/default/grub.
