installation process gave me an error about the system being unstable as
a result of the failure to upgrade the Adobe Flashplayer and the
inability to install the
Same problem with Compaq mini 733ez. Any news?

I'm going to have to say nay to this, even though I am an ATI user. This
version does bring AIGLX support, but the downside now is that it does
not work with the new 2.6.23 kernel. I say when 8.43 comes out with the
new ABI support in the 2.6.23 kernel, then it deserves something like

This was a great release, but when I researched it, I noticed that it is
not as great as it should have been. I propose that we wait until the
8.43 release because currently the fglrx driver cannot be compiled with
the 2.6.23 kernel (at least on 64bit).

Description:
When the user is doing ping -f myhostname.tld, ping does a ipaddr-hostname
request at EACH packet. Which is quite a lot when used with a -f option.
Moreover it is quite useless as when used with -f, ping doesnt display the
result of the ipaddr-hostname, but
i just wrote a patch (as suggested on #ubuntu-bugs).
with this patch, ping/ping6 will no more try to gethostbyaddr at every packet,
