I cannot reproduce this issue on a live-cd when using Intel graphics and
compiz. So this bug seems to be due to interactions between the radeon
driver and compiz. Please report if you have any information that
suggest otherwise.

This bug is also present in Arch Linux current, with xf86-input-aiptek
1.2.0 and xorg-server 1.6.1. These packages are unpatched, so it is
almost certain that this is an upstream problem. There has not been any
commits to the aiptek driver git repo after 1.2.0

Without dmraid support at install, Ubuntu becomes practically
inaccessible to a lot of inexperienced users. Exactly the crowd that it
typically attracts. So dmraid should be avaliable as soon as possible,
imo.
