The LaunchPad PPA system had no issues building it (build log linked above).
Same with the Debian build server. I'm not sure why it would have trouble with
finding the distutils.core module when you try and build the package. I think
distutils is built into Python. On my system,
I am not familiar with the change made for 1.2.2-1ubuntu1. I imagine it
had to do with the renaming of python-mlt2 to python-mlt3. If that is
the case, then yes, the change has been made in Debian and is safe to
sync.

The actual problem is that the libc-bin postinst script always fails
when it is triggered. The python-gmenu script does this too. Most post-
installation triggers seem to fail when run via PackageKit, AptDaemon or
QApt.

Not an amarok bug. The icons in question are part of the freedesktop.org
icon theme, and all major icon themes have them. The problem here is
that the GNOME indicator app is only looking in the hicolor fallback
theme, instead of the user's selected icon theme. (The icons in question
are available
