I spent quite a long time today trying to compile my paper and being
unable to get the affiliations properly. It took me quite a while to
google thru and get here to learn that I might have an old and buggy
version of revtex4-1. I am surprised this bug seems to have not been
taken seriously
Unfortunately, there is no other way at the moment but installing
manually revtex4-1. But be aware that this will also lead to a couple of
bugs that have remained unfixed for one year, \affiliation and natbib
package. Only a manual update of both revtex4-1 AND natbib fixes the
problem as far as
