I'm sorry; that was my oversight. I think I moved away from the right

Public bug reported:
In a default Ubuntu 7.10 installation with the the blubuntu-look
metapackage installed, the theme selects the Tango icon theme, but
tango-icon-theme is not drawn in as a dependency and is not installed in

As a result some icons revert to the Gnome set or

I know this is particularly old and particularly unusual hardware, but
on a Sotec e-Note 100 notebook (K6-2) with a SiliconMotion SM712 LynxEM+

black screen.
The tty is still

Hmm. No luck with my Geforce4 440 Go 64Mb. Thus far, patching the 8776
driver is the only thing that has worked for me. Thanks for the tip,
though. Cheers!

I have a Geforce4 440 Go and even the 96xx drivers don't work for me,
regardless of what Nvidia says. There's a patch that allows the 8776
driver to be built against the 2.6.19 2.6.20 kernels, which is the
route I plan to go for as long as it lasts me. I would heartily
recommend it for

Hi. I hope it doesn't seem like I'm spamming the bug tracker by
repeating this here, but there is a patch for the 8776 driver against
the 2.6.19 and 2.6.20 kernels, if you're willing to go that route. 8776
was the last working driver I had for my 440
I did a full shutdown and restart after the 2.6.20-10-386 update on
03/13 and reran udevmonitor. The output is attached here.

I get the same error and dmesg output, almost to the letter, with a
Sandisk CF card adapter and a Lexar CF card on a Dell Inspiron 8000. I
don't use hal so I don't have an lshal output, and udevmonitor simply
waits without reporting anything. Either way, here's my dmesg output.
Cheers.

I almost forgot about this. ... I believe adding xscreensaver-gl-extra and
xscreensaver-data-extra will install the enabled-but-missing screensavers.
Hope that helps. Cheers!

I can confirm this one as well. Choosing Edit menu eradicates any
existing menus and makes it a little difficult to correct. Destroying
~/.config/xfce4/desktop/menu.xml brings back the standard menus, though.
(Thanks for that tip. ... I was going nuts with that one. :)
