When I switch the sharing toggle on, as soon as I go our of the panel
and go back in it reverts to the off position. I am using control
centre version 3.16.3 with Ubuntu Gnome 15.10. No indication is given
why sharing is not usable.

Most times (but not always) I start up Ubuntu lightdm fails to start,
hitting ctrl+alt+f1 and starting it manually (sude service lightdm
start) works. the lighdm log give me:

The error to do with nv in x-0.log is odd as I am using the proprietary
nvidia driver. It also doest explain why it sometimes does load...
