Kamoso 1.0.4 from Repository is not working for me on 4 different
computers. I get an segmentation fault when the cam is initialized.
Installing version 1.0.5 from Lucid Repository and everything works
fine.

I can confirm this. I am using WPA WPA2 encryption and Karmic with
todays upgrades (AMD64). Please let me know, if i can hand you any

Gavin: did this for a couple of tries. Deleted the Connection and
recreated it. Did not solve it for me. I guess, there is a problem while
retrieving a network address. In the WLAN-Routers log i can see the
connection, but without a IP-Adress. This works without problem with the
my other machines
I tried to connect to another router with the same encryption, which
worked perfectly. Maybe it has something to do with the quality of the
signal, channel or something?

I could reduce the problem to my own stupidity. I was using the wrong
wlan-usb-device which is not capable to do wpa2 encryption. Sorry for
bothering. As far as i am concerned, there is no problem.

Did you try to run the program with
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so for v4l1 compatibility? Also
try to use cvCreateCameraCaputer(-1).
