I recently updgrade pulseaudio and alsa-utils. Do not know which package
to file bugs to but what happen is that alsa master volume was set to
75%. How hard I did to change the volume with gnome-pulse audio settings
I could not change the alsa

not able to reproduce it afterwards after I enabled it again.

A fix for this is to lower all other sound channel by 10dB and then
restore it afterwards. But then it means that pulse need to know when to
restore it.
Anyway pulse needs to be smart to know which sound channel it needs to
suppress. For example if I watch a movie I do not want it to just
suddenly

When I play Warcraft 3 TFT the sound is too choppy it feels like it is
lagging. However, the game works perfect. Sound in other programs work
as intended. Sound in VLC was choppy too, but it looks like it is fixed.

To be more specific I use gecko-mediaplayer to replace Windows media
player. Firefox do not use the gecko player by default and must be
selected under Tools > Manage Content Plug-ins

I have a Jaunty 64 bit system. Firefox crash when I play gecko-
mediaplayer and flash player (Adobe) at the same time. If I start the
mplayer (gecko) first flash will not start. If I start with flash first
and start mplayer Firefox will crash.

Targeting machine runs Ubuntu Jaunty. When running gparted from the live
cd to resize 3 partitions they might become corrupted. Symptom is that
the targeting machine freezes on shutdown and restart, likely due to
