I'm having the same problem. When I try to exit (using System->Quit or
the exit button up top), everything freezes and I can't do anything.
I've even tried having a terminal open so I can try "sudo reboot" or
something, but I can't even do that (the cursor even stops blinking on
the terminal).

I forgot to mention that this occurred when printing to a samba shared
printer on a Window XP machine. I'd assume the same behaviour is

the KDE printing subsystem with Opera or Konqueror. It doesn't seem to
be a bug in CUPS.

I can confirm that this is still a problem on Hardy (unless the
2008-02-21 updates to the various xorg packages fix anything--I guess
we'll wait to see). I was running all installable updates at the time
