I followed the instructions here but did not see any touchpad related devices

My kernel was stuck on 4.4. I had to manually update /boot/grub/grub.cfg
with 'sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg' to get the 4.15 kernel
to be available in grub to boot from. After that, and booting from 4.15
kernel, I can get bash into focal lxd container. Marking invalid.

I can confirm that I get the same error, switched to UEFI, and the
problem went away.

I switched to UEFI (from BIOS), and it fixed the issue. I am using 4TB
HDD's and I was not aware that BIOS had a max limit of 2 TB HDD.
It would be very nice if there was a descriptive error message in this
case--it was not easy to find the root cause.

The problem here is that you have ROS Kinetic installed, which only
supports Ubuntu 16.04: it doesn't support the upgrade. We're working on
a nicer error for exactly this situation.

To clarify: if you want to upgrade to to 18.04, I'm afraid you'll need
to remove ROS Kinetic first.

This happens to me as well. I too have two monitors, and sometimes the
menu is even on the wrong monitor. Oddly enough, if I click off then
right-click again (right away), the menu appears correctly. It's almost
as if it is triggered by not being invoked after x amount of time.

Since 20.04, I am unable to use virtualization on AMD. The kernel module
fails to load. Virtualization is turned on in the bios, yet the computer
is acting as if it were not. AMD Ryzen 7 3700x.
