I abandoned the account in which this problem arise and create a new
account.This problem does not appear any more in the new account.

When I try to turn on the blur effects in compiz fusion,there is not any
apparent change in the window border;
what is more, the computer's speed becomes so slow that it seems freezing.
Even move the window is very difficult.

When I use Gimmie Applet,
select Linux-->Shut down-->Shut down
The computer will not shut down, instead the whole will freeze with a black
screen. After that I cannot use Alt+Control+F1 to jump to another console. What
I can do is turn off the computer manually.

I am sorry I just found out that is not a problem with emerald manager. Even
though I uninstall the emerald the problem still arise.
That is a problem with compiz fusion.

If I enable emerald as my window decorator, the "places" menu cannot display
normally. The whole menu appears just like a white rectangle without any word
or items in it. But when you click somewhere in the white rectangle, you may be
able to open some window such as "home"

After I install the Ubuntu 7.1 I find the login process is a bit slower
than Ubuntu 7.04. It will take around one minute before the desktop
icons and panels appear. In Ubuntu 7.04, on my machine the login
process is usually less than 10 seconds.
