Like the title says, sometimes, after inputting my password into lightdm
to log in, Ubuntu refuses to log in. Instead, it gets stuck on lightdm,
with the words "Logging in..." being displayed. They never go away and
the computer never logs in.

This is definitely a huge issue and one that needs addressing for 12.04.
The Apps available for Download make the Dash look very unprofessional
and visually cluttered.
Likewise, the "Frequently Used Apps" list in the Dash is useless too, as
these applications almost always just mimic those seen in
Definitely an issue. I'd argue users should also be able to disable the
"Most Frequently Used" applications list as well, as these apps are
almost always just those that are also present on the launcher. It
becomes redundant.
Being able to configure both of these would be great.

This is definitely an issue. The delay makes the launcher look
incredibly sluggish, and even made me start searching the internet as to
why my launcher was "acting slow" - only to discover it wasn't, and was
simply a timed delay.
For the moment, is there any way to disable this delay, perhaps in d

Considering this is the case, the easiest solution to this would be to
set said variable to false, by default under Ubuntu 11.10.
Should be a relatively easy fix.

Strangely enough, whenever this occurs and the numbers do not show up,
pulling any item out of the launcher, and moving its position
temporarily fixes it.

This needs to be fixed. There is nothing KISS about having to
individually edit .desktop files. A simply desktop, would be one that
could easily be maintained.

Yep, this is an absolute must. In fact, dare I say one of the reasons I
personally prefer Unity over Gnome-Shell is the increased ability to
configure things. Unity should pride itself on it's ability to allow
users to personalise it, if they choose.

Yes, this desperately needs to be fixed. I'm quite a fan of Unity
myself, but nothing infuriates me more than this. I hope this is being
discussed on the mailing list. :)
Bring this feature back, or at the very least, give us the option to
enable it.

Yeah, this is a huge problem for people with legacy cards (which is a
great deal of people running Linux). I had huge problems even setting
the correct resolution (which wasn't detected correctly).
Running a Geforce MX 440 (AGP 8X) here.

Hey all. This bug has been happening since 7.04 (possibly earlier)
without having a fix. As a result, however, there's a bit of information
on it.
The following bug reports are all in regards to the same thing:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-system-monitor/+bug/93847
https://bugs.
How is this low importance? No really, I'm generally curious. This bug
has been unfixed since 7.04, and I'd really like to help get it fixed.
Kind Regards.
