I made your suggested changes and the following denials are present.
However I'm not sure if these are a result of your changes. I've had the
usr.lib.telepathy profile in complain mode since I filed this report so they
could be related to any recent update.

I am not sure if this is a bug, but apparmor notification pops up
everytime I log in to gnome-shell about apparmor errors.

I had a similar file as segler's asound.rc in
/usr/share/alsa/alsa.conf.d/a52.conf. Removing it seems to fix the issue for
me.
I also tried recompiling the a52 plugin following the link above and that
didn't make a difference.
I am also on ubuntu 13.10 64bit after upgrading from 13.04.
