The cimg-dev package should provide a -nox version, to avoid pulling in all X11
dependencies, which are quite heavy to download and unnecessary on a headless
server.

Do you mean google REST API interface, or the python unofficial API library?
The first one is undocumented, so it doesn't have a license, but being a web
service, I don't think you have to worry about license.
The second isn't GPL, but again, we don't have to link against it (and
actually, we
I might take ownership of this, but I'm not sure if I'll have enough time, and
I don't know python (nor amarok internals, actually, but I'm pretty used to KDE
development).
