At the end of the last system update the window manager crashed. The
Unity bar and panels disappeared... I tried to restart the X, but when I
logged in the screen started to flash, something like that (sorry I
can't describe better), so I restarted the system and everything

Same here, after upgrading from 10.04 to 10.10, system hangs everytime
if I do not move the mouse or type anything.
My system:
Magalhães PC (Portuguese version of intel's Classmate)
