Nouveau driver bug comment states that this issue is no longer present in the latest kernel - after updating to latest from Linus' tree (commit 323a72d83c9) and running, I can confirm that this is the case. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is

I've run a bisect on Linus' master branch, and narrowed the issue down to this one line change, which isn't much to go on: commit 7707b701ebfea64afa6bfb23aa318fd687892754 Author: Marcin Slusarz marcin.slus...@gmail.com Commit: Ben Skeggs bske...@redhat.com drm/nv40/mpeg: fix context handling

[Bug 1105250] Re: MSI laptop, crash on first suspend and suspend fails thereafter

2013-01-29 Thread Mark Einon
Yes, I can now successfully suspend and resume with the 3.5.7 quantal tree - thanks for the help. The kernel warning stack dump I've tried to patch in the upstream kernel, a fix is currently being discussed on the linux1394-devel / linux-pm mailing lists. So I guess we can close this bug? --

2013-01-28 Thread Mark Einon
I've taken the latest Ubuntu quantal kernel tree and taken a look at the 'Trying to free already-free IRQ 16' issue. In the suspend scenario for the firewire-ohci code (drivers/firewire/ohci.c), first pci_remove() is called followed by pci_suspend(). Both of these call free_irq(dev-irq, ohci),

After a brief test following the BIOS update, it appears that the subsequent suspends now work, thank you. The 'Trying to free already-free IRQ 16' stack trace still exists, and is repeated for each suspension. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which
